Surround Dolby Digital 5.1 Channel Mp3 12 ((NEW))

when your computer has 5.1 channel speakers connected or connects via HDMI to a 5.1 or better surround sound AVR or home theater system. Note that many browsers and media players (particularly on mobile devices such as the iPhone) will output a stereo downmix from these streams, even if they don't support multichannel output.

Dolby Digital is a multi-channel audio codec from Dolby Labs. It delivers a cinematic surround sound experience and is commonly referred to as the 'industry standard' (primarily because Dolby Labs has been around longer than DTS).

Both DTS and Dolby Digital are audio compression technologies, allowing moviemakers to record surround sound that can be reproduced in cinemas as well as homes. Both deliver spine-tingling multi-channel sound, so what's the difference? And which is better?

In their most basic form, both DTS and Dolby Digital support 5.1-channel audio (i.e. a typical home cinema system with five speakers and one subwoofer). And more advanced versions of the formats support 7.1-channels, HD surround sound and overhead speakers, in the form of DTS:X and Dolby Atmos.

The first film to use Dolby Digital was Batman Returns in 1992. Since then, Dolby has released a slew of increasingly advanced codecs, including Dolby Digital Plus, which supports HD surround sound and up to 7.1 speaker channels.

Like Dolby Digital, DTS has since released a plethora of more advanced surround sound formats including DTS-HD High Resolution, which supports up to 7.1 speaker channels. DTS has also brought out a lossless format, DTS-HD Master Audio. There is also DTS:X, which competes with Dolby's Atmos.

Only if your audio format is dts/dolby digital 5.1, the 5.1 channel could activated in VLC. If the original file is of only stereo type, the 5.1 option will not get highlighted in the above said menu. You try using SURCODE DTS and Gold wave software for converting a stereo file into user defined 5.1 DTS file.

Audio Converter and Extractor: Audio jobs are never too much hassle with videoproc. You can convert audio between formats like MP3, AMR, WAV, OGG, FLAC, etc with crystal clear Dolby Digital 5.1 channel surround sound, extract audio from video, and fast copy the audio bit-for-bit from the source to AAC, AC3, MP3, DTS, DTS-HD without any loss of quality.

At the time of writing, Kdenlive only supports rendering a project to a video containing stereo audio. It is not possible to render to more audio channels or to explicitly map audio tracks to channels in the rendered audio. In order to edit and create surround sound, some manual steps, including external tools, are required.

The stereo track "Field" can now be mapped to Front L+R, "Voice" to Center and "Music" to Surround L+R. There is just one problem: the Surround (rear) speakers of a surround speaker system are usually "small" and not able to reproduce low frequencies. So it would be necessary to map the low frequency range of the "Music" track to the LFE channel, otherwise the music might sound a little "thin".

A 5.1 surround sound system uses 6 channels (feeding into 6 speakers) to create surround sound. 7.1 surround sound systems use 8 channels. The two extra channels of sound (and two extra speakers) provide a slightly better audio quality.

5.1 surround sound has 6 sound channels, and so 6 speakers. It includes a center speaker, subwoofer (for low frequency effects, such as explosions), left and right front speakers, and left and right rear speakers. As it has a smaller number of speakers and is the industry standard, it is simpler to set up, cheaper and suitable for small or medium-sized rooms.

7.1 surround sound has 8 sound channels. It uses the same 6 speakers as above, plus an extra two side speakers. The extra two speakers add more depth to the surround sound experience. As it uses more speakers, 7.1 surround sound is more expensive and is only suitable for large rooms.

Unsupported audio formats in video will have the audio automatically transcoded to either AAC or AC3 (Dolby Digital) as appropriate by the Plex Media Server in order to preserve any surround sound audio channels.
